Central Coast Challenge Golf Skill Contest

Hole-in-One Grand Prize · Official Contest Rules
THIS IS A CONTEST OF SKILL. Winners are determined by skill in the game of golf—not by lot, random drawing, or chance. To participate, a participant must purchase one or more Contest attempts at the applicable posted price.
  1. Sponsor. Central Coast Challenge Golf Skill Contest (the "Contest") is sponsored and administered by Central Coast Challenge, LLC, ("Sponsor") and is conducted at the participating golf course identified at the Contest location (the "Course").
  2. Contest of Skill. The Contest is a bona fide contest of skill. Success depends upon each participant's golfing ability, including club selection, distance control, aim, and execution. Participants compete by attempting a shot from the designated Contest Area on a qualifying par-3 hole. Contest winners are determined solely by skill based upon the successful completion of a hole-in-one, as applicable. No winner is determined by random drawing or chance.
  3. Eligibility. The Contest is open to individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age and who are amateur golfers under the applicable USGA Rules of Amateur Status. Professional golfers and other individuals who do not qualify as amateur golfers under the applicable USGA Rules of Amateur Status are not eligible to participate or win the Grand Prize. Sponsor and Course personnel directly involved in administering or judging the Contest, and their immediate family or household members, are not eligible to win the Grand Prize. Void where prohibited by law. Sponsor may require proof of eligibility.
  4. How to Enter. To participate, a participant must purchase one or more Contest attempts at the Contest location and take the purchased shot(s) from the designated Contest Area in accordance with these Official Contest Rules.
  5. Entry Fee & Attempts. The standard entry fee is $20.00 per attempt unless otherwise posted at the Contest location. Sponsor may offer discounted multi-attempt packages or other promotional pricing from time to time. Each purchased attempt consists of one (1) shot from the designated Contest Area.
  6. Determination of Winner. A participant who successfully holes the ball in one (1) stroke from the designated Contest Area on the qualifying par-3 hole, and satisfies all verification requirements in Section 8, will be eligible to receive the Grand Prize.
  7. Prizes. The Grand Prize consists of $10,000.00 for a verified hole-in-one on the designated qualifying par-3 hole and is funded by Sponsor.
  8. Verification. To qualify for the Grand Prize, the winning shot must satisfy all of the following requirements:
    • The shot must be made from the designated Contest Area on the qualifying par-3 hole and at the minimum qualifying playing distance specified in these Official Contest Rules and the applicable Contest materials;
    • The ball must be holed in one (1) stroke, meaning the ball must be struck once by the participant and come to rest in the hole without any additional stroke or attempt;
    • The participant must use the golf ball and equipment permitted by Sponsor and must comply with all posted Contest procedures and instructions;
    • The shot must be captured by Sponsor's designated video recording system in a manner sufficient for Sponsor to verify the shot and the participant's compliance with these Official Contest Rules;
    • The shot must be taken during the applicable Contest operating period and while Sponsor's Contest personnel and verification systems are present and operational;
    • Mulligans, practice shots, rehearsal swings, replayed shots, substitute shots, or any other additional attempts do not qualify as a winning shot; and
    • The participant must satisfy all other eligibility and verification requirements set forth in these Official Contest Rules, the Participant Agreement, Release & Consent, and any reasonable Contest procedures communicated by Sponsor.
    Sponsor shall review and verify any purported winning shot using the video recording and other verification procedures maintained for the Contest. Sponsor may require the participant to provide reasonable information or documentation necessary to confirm eligibility and compliance with these Official Contest Rules. If a purported winning shot is not adequately captured or recorded, Sponsor may use other available evidence and verification procedures to determine whether the shot qualifies for the Grand Prize. Sponsor's determination as to whether a shot qualifies for the Grand Prize shall be final and binding, absent manifest error.
  9. Prize Claim; Taxes. Prize winners must complete all claim documentation requested by Sponsor, including IRS Form W-9 where applicable. The Grand Prize shall be paid after required forms are completed. Winners are solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes, and Sponsor shall issue IRS Form 1099 where required by law.
  10. Publicity & Media. By participating in the Contest, each participant agrees to be bound by these Official Contest Rules and the Participant Agreement, Release & Consent, which must be completed before participating. By signing the Participant Agreement, each participant consents to being photographed and video recorded in connection with the Contest and to Sponsor's use of the participant's name, image, likeness, and voice for promotional purposes, as further described in the Participant Agreement, Release & Consent.
  11. Conduct; Disqualification; Changes. Participants agree to comply with these Official Contest Rules and all reasonable instructions of Sponsor and the Course relating to safety and operation of the Contest. Sponsor may disqualify any participant who violates these Rules, acts in an unsafe or unsportsmanlike manner, tampers with the Contest, or attempts to obtain an unfair competitive advantage. Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Contest if fraud, safety concerns, weather, course conditions, or other circumstances beyond Sponsor's reasonable control impair the fair or safe operation of the Contest. Sponsor may refuse or invalidate any Contest attempt that does not comply with these Official Contest Rules or the posted Contest procedures.
  12. Participant Release. By participating in the Contest, each participant releases Sponsor, the Course, and their respective owners, managers, members, officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, and affiliates from claims arising out of or relating to participation in the Contest or the acceptance or use of the Grand Prize, except to the extent such liability cannot lawfully be released.

The participating golf course at which the Sweepstakes is promoted (the "Course") is not the sponsor or administrator of the Sweepstakes and is released from liability as provided in these Official Rules.
  2. Eligibility. The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the State of California who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry. A person may enter the Sweepstakes without participating in the Contest by completing an official Sweepstakes entry card at the Contest location and depositing it in the designated entry box, or by mailing a legibly hand-printed 3" × 5" card containing the entrant's full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address to 332 Avenida Garza, Goleta, CA 93117. A person who does not participate in the Contest may obtain up to two (2) Sweepstakes entries through the AMOE. The potential winner may be required to complete and return an affidavit of eligibility, liability/publicity release, and IRS Form W-9, as applicable, before the prize is awarded. Sponsor will not require the potential winner to pay any fee or make any purchase as a condition of receiving the prize.

The prize is non-transferable, may not be redeemed for cash except at Sponsor's sole discretion. If the stated prize is unavailable, Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater approximate retail value.
  8. Taxes. The winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes. Sponsor may require completion of IRS Form W-9 and will issue IRS Form 1099 when required by law.
